How do you remove the front door panel on a 1992 Lincoln Continental?
ok, if you open the door drivers side ( opposite for passengers ), you will see a screw in the upper right hand corner of the door panel. remove that one, unscrew the door up and down lock making sure its in the down position so the door will be able to lift out further on in the removal process. take off the two screws that hold on the grab handle, note: you have to take off the caps to see them. If you look inside the right pouch in the top right hand corner your going to see another screw, remove it. there is also a screw inside where you pull the handle to open the door, remove it. now this is where it gets a little tricky, you have to take off the pouches on the door in order to reach the screws under the pouches, i forgot if you have to slide them to the left or right or pull them out, not sure, i think i had to go underneath and push them up with a flathead but you have to get them off to access the screws so the door panel can be removed. now once you get the panel removed and have taken out the screws on the door your next step is to get a flat head and start pulling the panel out from the left and right side because their held in be metal push ins, the bottom is a slide action but watch for the lock on top. first i believe that you have to lift the panel to the sky and then slide to the right, or it just lifts right out. now if you havent noticed by now there are connection that hold the door on, these are difficult to take off ( they were for me anyway ), if you release them the panel should be free, reverse to install new door, im 95% that this is correct, i did mine 3 times and the last one was 3 mo. ago. hope this helps, good luck pls let me know, post it
